Fabric Care Instructions
Simple advice on how to care for your garments to make them last
Our shirts are 100% cotton and made in Canada, unless otherwise stated. All of our shirts, except for silk shirts, are machine washable. Always refer to the care label inside the garment for specific washing instructions. Please take out removable collar stays prior to cleaning.
The following list details what the symbols mean on your shirts:
Wash shirts by hand or machine in cold water to avoid shrinkage and fading. Wash dark colours separately and use a colour detergent. To keep dark colours from fading over time, we would recommend dry cleaning.
We DO NOT recommend using bleach.
We DO NOT recommend that you tumble dry.
We recommend hanging to dry and ironing while shirt is still damp to the touch.
It is best to iron while the shirts are still damp, using a hot iron. While ironing collars, iron away from the collar points to avoid getting unsightly creasing at the front of the collar. This is the same with cuffs, iron away from the edges. Dark colours are best ironed on the reverse side.
If you choose to have your shirts professionally cleaned, we recommend “laundering” over “dry cleaning” for most shirts. Dark colours should be “dry cleaned” to preserve the colour.
