We love weddings. We love dressing groomsmen for the big day. But when that wedding is for your Granddaughter and the man she has chosen to marry...there is nothing better than that!
During the summer we enjoyed a fantastic engagement party in the Toronto Islands - a water taxi trip away from the shop. Because the groom and the ushers were from several different locations, including out of the country, Howard measured them for their custom shirts while we had them all together.
Finally the much anticipated special day arrived. The couple had chosen to postpone their wedding in 2020, hoping that by 2022 the pandemic would be over. While the pandemic is still with us, we were able to gather with friends and family for a day that was truly magical. The wedding was held at Stonefields Estate just outside Ottawa. The venue was beautiful, the weather was perfect, the wedding was joyful, and the clothing...well!
The groom selected an elegant blue tone-on-tone woven floral fabric for his tie, and the bow ties of the ushers that worked beautifully with their cobalt blue suits from Tom's Place. Each of them had a custom made white shirt with blue button holes and button sew to add a little touch. Their white linen pocket squares with burgundy piping were a nod to the bridesmaid's dresses along with the burgundy check on their navy socks. The bride worked with Lea-Ann Belter Bridal to design her dream dress right down to the last button.
Howard can't begin to express the joy he felt being able to celebrate with his granddaughter, and all of his loved ones. The wedding was beautiful for all of the right reasons - it was better than any fairy tale.
We wish them nothing but happiness in the years to come.
